Our daughter Karen and our grandson Jack joined us for a long weekend in the Lakes. Jack is two years old, so it was his first camping holiday, and we were not sure how he would like it, but as it turned out, he really enjoyed the freedom of being able to run around just as he chose, and he was fascinated with all the rocks - definitely a little mountaineer in the making!!!

Because of the extra two passengers in the car, we could only fit our compact tent in, but there was still plenty of space for everyone for the three nights, and we were lucky to have fine weather, so we ended up spending most of the time outdoors anyway.
