After the walk along the Helvellyn ridge, our peakbagging had taken a definite turn for the worse, and when we got up to find the weather very dull on the last day of this holiday, we decided to accept defeat and just go for a walk along Derwentwater.

We parked at Great Wood Car Park and followed the shore path to the Car Park by Lodore Landing Stage, and then back again to the car.
